Rae and Wesley are proud to announce their new membership in the Wedding Photojournalist Association. WPJA, an International, membership-based organization, represents professional photographers skilled in the documentation of weddings and events in a candid, unobtrusive style. The WPJA was founded to uphold excellence in the area of wedding photojournalism and is a highly screened, critical organization. Atlanta Portrait Sessions

We are going to be in Atlanta on Friday September 14, 2007 for a family member's wedding that weekend. If any of our blog stalkers in Atlanta (and I know there are some by my web statisitcs) are interested in family, engagement, or bridal portraits while we are in town, let us know and we'll be glad to work you in! Session fees are $200 and usually take no longer than an hour.

A Nature walk on a HOT day.

Whhewwww....it was steamy today!! I met with Shannon & Chris for their engagement session and we went on a little nature walk. Shannon chose this location because it reminded her of Virginia. The lighting was nice though! These two will only be single for a little over a week. We are shooting their wedding on 8/11 on the Navy Base. Oh....Shannon said she booked us because she saw our Christmas post where Wes bought me the Canon SD600 Elph camera. She had the same camera so she thought we had good taste! LOL!

A gift for the groom

If there is one thing I know, it's that Rae's boudoir sessions are hard to beat..... A new trend here in the south that is finally making its way from the west coast is for the ladies to have a nice sexy porfolio for their men as a wedding/honeymoon gift. Jennifer is getting married this October here in Florida, and she came for a visit recently all the way from Germany to wrap up some wedding plans and do this session. I know that a lot of our blog stalkers may blush over these photos, but I am not showing anything more revealing than you would see at the beach. Jennifer is a great sport for letting us post a couple of these, and if anyone is interested, your photos would never be posted without your permission! Everything is done very tastefully and your comfort is a number 1 priority! Session fees are $200 and usually last about an hour. This is a taste of what you can expect......

Weekend Off

July is turning out to be somewhat of a slow month in the wedding industry. I think it is just too hot for most people! We took advantage of a Saturday off and went to Mobile for some family time with Rae's sister and parents. We will be posting some more photos in the middle of the week from recent shoots, but here is a sneak peek of our weekend off visiting Dauphin Island for a little swim time.....

Avery really enjoys the water.... Can't wait until she's old enough to go out on the boat with dad!

Avery and Rae's dad, papa. HE's actually holding her and she's not crying!

This our niece Abigail.... how cute is she?

Kim & Matt go all out!

I have known Kim for years! She and my friend Karla have been best friends since the beginning of time. Since I know her, I figured I could talk them into driving all over Pensacola to have some fun on their engagement shoot. Kim LOVES pictures and Matt....well...not so much. But, he was a trooper and did not complain a bit. We really enjoyed going to new places, so THANKS you two!

Kim's a sexy mama!

I love the industrial look of these three.

Ahhh...nature!

New Updates

We are in the process of making some much needed updates to the website and the blog. If you have not been to our main website in a while be sure to check it out. It is still a work in progress with a new family section coming soon. You will also be seeing some new links on the right hand side of this blog page. For all of our brides to be, check out the new F.A.Q for brides brought to you by wedfog.com. It's a little inside info about what to expect from your wedding photography. Please note that wedfog.com is not our website, so any pricing info is not relevant to our price list.

Cara, Ben, & fab details!

Oh...where do I begin?? We LOVE details and their wedding was full of them! If we posted all of the details that we loved at this wedding, it would take up a whole page. So, you are just gonna have to look at these for now! Also, we are usually blessed with really nice people for our weddings, but these people were all so nice to us. I think it might be because more than half of the wedding party are blog stalkers. They also stalk Avery's blog (see the link on the right) & I think they were a little sad that we didn't bring her!

Cara was decked out with her "bride" gear...head to toe!!

Just a nice dress detail!

You will be seeing so many of these flowers. They were awesome. They were fun, bright, and cheery which was just like the people holding them! Each bouquet had a crystal initial for each bridesmaid too.

The FOB (father of the bride to you non-cool people)made this wagon for the kids in the wedding. There were 6 flower girls and 1 ring bearer ranging from 15 months to 6 years. They ALL were angels!!

Such a pretty bride!

These ladies are cool and they know it. Don't even question it...they ARE cool.

Pre-wedding story time for the kids.

The last minute looks between dad and daughter before walking down the aisle are always my favorite!

This is what came up during the ceremony. It reminds Wes of that scene in the Ghostbusters movie. The cloud opened right after the ceremony. I think most of the guests were able to make it to their cars!

We headed over to the Officer's Club at NAS and hoped the rain would hold off so we could get a few there. It stopped for maybe 15 minutes and we were able to get some awesome shots! That's the O Club in the background!

This is SOOOO Cara! But, I like the other people in this one too!

Four generations & two photographers!!

Wesley & I were so honored to be commissioned to photograph this fabulous family. This family is so special in so many ways. 1st - there were 4 generations there and that s always special. 2nd - the oldest member of the family is 96 and he still absolutely adores his wife! 3rd - The 3rd generation of the family are a brother and sister and they are BOTH photographers. Eric lives in Austin, TX and Rayna lives in Rapid City, SD. Yeah...no pressure here. 4th - The photographers are both expecting their 2nd child!! How cool is that?? We really enjoyed talking "shop" with Rayna & Eric and wish we could have spent longer with them. We all seem to have the same interests in the world of photography and it's so interesting to talk to people in our industry that aren't in our market. Anyway, we had a good time and we didn't melt in the noontime July heat.

These two are so dang cute!! Can you see the admiration on Anita's face?

Eric & Rayna are in the middle.

I love this shot. It shows 4 generations and an entire view of a tree which is commonly used as a sign of family. You know....the family tree. Nicole was obviously not as impressed with this shot as I was! LOL! This was Wes' shot!! This is why I pay him the big bucks!

The next 2 shots....so many kisses and so much love!

Thanks so much for trusting us to capture your precious family. We know it's not easy to be on the other side of the camera and you all did it so well! We just spent some time on Eric's blog and he has a very funny video of his son. I really like Eric's sense of humor.

Portofino Family Session

We had a very nice beach session this afternoon with this family visiting from Lousiana. They are staying at the beautiful Portofino Resort on Pensacola Beach and wanted to feature the architecture of the buildings in their photos. If any of you blog stalkers are thinking of a beach getaway here in the south, this may just be the place for you!

We're Sorry!

We're Sorry! We have been receiving e-mails lately and some are up to nine months old. We are apparently going to have to find a new host for our website that is more reliable, but in the future, please to not hesitate to pick up the phone and call us if we do not respond to your e-mails in a timely manner. Unfortunately this is the bad side of technology and hopefully no one is too mad at us if we ignored them!

Cat is all smiles!

I can't believe Cat is over 6 months old already and Avery isn't far behind her. She smiles and giggles so much. Does she have gorgeous eyes or what?! All of these have only window light for the lighting....It's so yummy!
