Wes & Janelle said "I do" in Ft. Walton Friday night at a beautiful holiday ceremony and reception following at the Hurlburt Field Officer's Club. The bride was stealing all the attention....
They emotionally grabbed each other's hand during communion.......
The party got a little wild!

Our Christmas Gifts
I thought I would give some props to some of the cool gifts Rae and I got for Christmas from our families and each other. I am a technology geek, and anything to make my life a little easier and more fun at the same time is always on my wish list.
The first item here is the Canon SD 600 digital elf 6.1 megapixel point and shoot camera. With thousands of dollars of digital SLR cameras, I thought this would be the last camera we owned again. But it gets tiring lugging our huge cameras around, and this little bugger fits ealiy in your pocket and is great for those candid shots. It will be very handy when the new baby does something cute!
This little baby is the Tassimo hot beverage maker. From tea to hot chocolate, to coffee, cappucino and expresso, just pop the pre-loaded beverage discs in the top and you have a perfect drink in about 30 seconds....no frills, no mess!
And finally, this is my pride and joy. It's the iPod Video 30gb special U2 addition. This baby is going to be great with my Bose noise cancelling head phones on long plane rides and when the baby is crying for Rae in the middle of the night. It's great for showing off photos, watching music videos and tv shows, or just listening some of the 1500 mp3's I have!

Alexis and Patrick
It has been nice having 3 weekends off, although we sure have missed shooting a wedding. We have never had a job we loved so much, and photographing weddings is actually a high that we start to miss during the slow season. Thank goodness Alexis and Patrick gave us a jump start to get through Christmas ;-) They are originally from Nebraska and flew a few of their friends and family to town this weekend for a beautiful, cozy ceremony. They are having a full reception in Nebraska next weekend for New Years. Have fun you two!
The bride was stunning......
I always love the father and bride shots right before going down the isle....
The groom was not looking bad either.....
This was one good looking couple!

Southern Wedding Style Magazine!
We had sooo much fun yesterday. We were asked to help photograph the cover shoot for the premiere edition of Southern Wedding Style magazine. Our favorite Bliss ladies are creating a fabulous new magazine and we were one of the four photographers at the event. One word describes our experience - WOW!! Wes & I started out at Jackson's Restaurant. Sara (Wes' sister) came to help us out too! THANKS SARA! We had "cocktail hour" at Jackson's and then headed to the new FABULOUS Myspayce off Garden Street for some odds and ends. We photographed diamonds worth more than we can imagine. We photographed gorgeous models in amazing attire. We photographed the most awesome floral designs I have seen. I can't say enough about what we saw today. Wes and I went through our MANY images to choose some quick favorites to share with you all. Look for more of our images in the Fall 2007 edition of Southern Wedding Style!! And, don't forget to check out the Bliss website for more information - especially if you are planning a wedding!

Christmas with friends.....
We had a party this weekend with our good friends that Rae used to work with at the Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement. We don't get to see them as much as we used to with our schedule now, so I wanted to give them some props here on the blog. Our friends Beth & Steve hosted the party at their house this year, and Beth is a perfectionist for entertaining....Here's a tribute to her decorations.
Notice the sky in this shot....what a beautiful sunset!
Champagne with Raspberry Liquor was a nice holiday red for all of the guests when they arrived.....
Only the best china for us!
This is me with our friend Nikki and her fiance Garth...Nikki was sitting in the front seat beside me in our rollover crash last year so we have that "special" bond.
Nikki showing the bling bling that Garth bought her.....
No party with a bunch of 30 year olds would be complete without the 80's game.....Gotta love it!
We had a great time guys! Thanks so much for all the preparations you did.......

Our turn for Christmas Photos
We spent Friday afternoon (THE COLDEST DAY OF THE YEAR!) with the famous Patsy Brown of A Thousand Words Photography www.patsybrown.com to make some Christmas card photos. Patsy is the person who actually got us interested in doing professional photography and let Rae assist her in shooting weddings to learn the flow before we started our own business. We love our Patsy....
It started out with a trip to the "Barkery" in downtown Pensacola to get Baxter a cookie for bribery....
Then we went over to the park for some family shots.....
Then it was our turn to do some early maternity shots which looks sort of how the baby got here in the first place haha.......
We can't thank Patsy enough for doing this shoot! Maybe next year it will not be 33 degrees and our skin will not be pink!
