Our Thanksgiving Recap......

Happy turkey day! We had a nice day off this year in Mobile where for the first time ever, Wesley and Rae's family had Thanksgiving Dinner together. It was warm in the morning, but quickly turned cold here in the deep south by mid-afternoon.

After a hefty lunch, Wesley's dad entertained Avery with her book...

Unfortunately she is teething, so she spent most of the day sleeping...

Now this is a sneak preview of Rae's dad's pride and joy.....

Let's just say Chevy Chase in the movie Christmas Vacation has nothing on him with the official Thanksgiving yard lighting....

This is just one of many blow up lawn ornaments....more of these in a future holiday post.

Rae's mom tried to get Avery interested in Santa, but I think the cold was more than she wanted to deal with.

So we came home and built a nice fire before bed....brrrrrrrr

Glad to see everyone recovered from the turkey drunkenness. I'm sure Avery enjoyed having all of her favorite people in one place. Oh wait- I wasn't there. She will really have all of her favorite people come Christmas. Miss y'all. ~Aunt Sara
PS: Ally turns 6 on Friday-and it sleeted/snowed here!

I need to delete all my thanksgiving photos now, well, cause they just suck compared to yours.
I'm glad you all enjoyed your first Thanksgiving as a family.

So sweet!

Sometimes when they do not feel 100% and they want to snuggle up and chill...well...that can just be the best cuddling time! (and the motrin does help!)

I seriously think her face looks slimmer in all of her recent pictures. Is she hitting a growth spurt or something? I totally love the one of her sleeping on grandpa.
